This website is a good one for resources related to community policing. The site contains an Electronic Library with an extensive bibliography of the latest Community policing literature. It also contains an up to date link to the Information Access Guide, as well as links to other community policing links.

There is also a downloadable copy of the Framework of Community Policing monograph, as well as other resource documents. The following curricula as also downloadable:

This website has links to studies conducted in the field of community policing. There is also a database of SARA projects that may help from reinventing the wheel. The database is called POPNet and currently requires signing up for a password. The password process is being modified, and in the future, a password may no longer be required. What is NCJRS?
NCJRS is a federally sponsored information clearinghouse for people around the country and the world involved with research, policy, and practice related to criminal and juvenile justice and drug control.

Who can use NCJRS?
NCJRS services and resources are available to policymakers, criminal and juvenile justice practitioners, educators, community leaders, and the general public. Anyone interested in the fields of criminal and juvenile justice and drug policy can use or request NCJRS services and assistance.

What services does NCJRS offer?
NCJRS offers a range of services and resources, balancing the information needs of the field with the technological means to receive and access support. Stay informed about new publications, grants and funding opportunities, and other news and announcements by subscribing to these online services:

  • JUSTINFO is a bimonthly newsletter that is sent out on the 1st and 15th of each month and covers news and announcements from all NCJRS partner agencies.
  • JUVJUST is an electronic mailing list that contains postings on a wide range of topics and resources related to juvenile justice, delinquency prevention, and child protection.
