The Pat Brown Institute of Public Affairs held its 21st Annual Awards Dinner, Thursday evening, April 25, 2002 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. The emcee was journalist Patt Morrison.
The honorees included California State Attorney General Bill Lockyer receiving the Pat Brown Legacy Award; Reverend Cecil Murray, First AME Church, receiving the Lifetime Public Service Award and Robin Kramer with the California Community Foundation, receiving the Distinguished Community Partnership Award.
Corporate sponsor for the dinner was Washington Mutual. Other sponsors included SBC Pacific Bell, Southern California Edison, Sempra Engergy, Boeing Company, California Endowment and the Hilton Hotels Corporation.
