PBI Training Institute for Law Enforcement![]() For nine years, the PBI has trained police officers from small and large jurisdictions to form collaborative relationships with community members to identify problems and find solutions through its Community Policing Training Program. The training has led to great success in the officers’ ability to solve long-standing problems that plague many communities. Twice a year, the PBI offers an intense 40-hour curriculum to a select group of police officers from diverse agencies. The program's training modules address the interests of all peace officers, whether you want to learn more about the fundamentals of problem solving and building community partnerships; or are struggling to find ways to overcome current challenges. Over the course of five days, participants have a unique opportunity to network and dialogue with leading experts, community-based professionals, and other law enforcement agencies.The course facilitators blend their perspectives of law enforcement, academia, and community for a comprehensive discussion on community policing and collaboration. The program concludes with agency presentations of their community policing action plans to a commanding officer and/or local official from their area. Workshops are scheduled March and October of every year. Please contact us for specific dates. |
